Wired focuses mainly on technological advances and news.
Obviously, it's audience would be groups of people who are interested in technology. However, there are certain parts of the website that may be more appealing to some people over others. You probably wouldn't expect many younger people to be reading the security section about new locks and different policies from the presidential committee, but at the same time you wouldn't expect that many elderly people to be looking at the design tab that talks about things like emoji's and social media. The entire website does a good job with wording their articles in a way that it is easy for anyone to understand regardless of whether one is a person who enjoys reading about technology, or if someone has no clue how to use any sort of electronic device. Things like "Miss Piggy Makes a Play for Riverdale's Jughead" also show that the website opens up for non technology users and is active in writing about pop culture with things like tv shows. |
